Announcing the SuperEnduro series opener as his return from retirement, Blazusiak hammered home a 2-2-2 scorecard in front of his home crowd to end the night as the overall winner.
With near-perfect starts, Blazusiak initially took the lead in each of the night’s three races. Due to a lack of competitive time on the bike, Taddy slowed towards the end of the motos. But by holding on for second, his trio of runner-up positions were enough to secure the top step of the overall podium.

The new season of SuperEnduro started in style… it was an overwhelming reception in the Tauron Arena for the opening round of the 2018 season of the Maxxis FIM SuperEnduro World Championship. The 12,000 Polish spectators were thrilled by the exploits of the 75 riders entered from 22 nations, which is a record in the short SuperEnduro history. And of course all eyes were on local rider Taddy BLAZUSIAK (PL – KTM) who has already achieved his amazing comeback.
From the SuperPole “powered by Akrapovic”, the Factory KTM rider proved that he has kept his speed by setting a remarkable time while Alfredo Gomez (E – Husqvarna) and the promising youngster Billy BOLT (GB – Husqvarna) were caught out by the tricky track. And while he had only achieved the 7th lap time, defending champion Colton HAAKER (USA – Husqvarna) won the Super Pole and scored his first three points of the season.

After eight months without the intense battles, the highs and lows, the victories and the crashes…the FIM Maxxis SuperEnduro World Championship is finally back this Saturday, December 9 at the Tauron Arena in Krakow (Poland)!
Can double World Champion Colton HAAKER (USA – Husqvarna) hold off the growing number of top guns present this season? This is the big question ahead of the opening round of the season…
The FIM and Polski Zwiazek Motorowy (PZM) have entrusted the opening of the SEWC 2018 to the Lodzki Klub Motorowy and the “Sport Up” promotion agency for the second year in a row. After the resounding success of 2017 when the Tauron Arena was sold out (13,000 spectators), Krakow’s indoor events hall was added to the calendar again this season without hesitation.
