With three Italian Enduro Championship rounds now complete, the TM Boano Factory Team has enjoyed a successful start to the season with two overall victories and numerous podium finishes, to place itself among the favourites for 2021 FIM Enduro World Championship glory.
After presenting the team on Friday, March 5, shortly before the opening round of the 2021 Assoluti d’Italia de Enduro – the Italian Enduro Championship – the TM Boano Factory Team kicked off their racing season with stellar performances from all their riders.
The squad’s new signing, Matteo Cavallo, as well as teammate Wil Ruprecht, endured steady starts to the series. However, both riders picked up their pace to dominate proceedings at rounds two and three. Ruprecht took the overall win on both days after posting the fastest time in 13 out of the 22 special tests and left Sicily with the championship lead.
Cavallo was also on fire at the second and third rounds after finding himself 100% at home on his bike. The Italian took the win on both days in the 250 4T class to finish the weekend second overall each time out behind his teammate.
If first and second weren’t enough for the TM Boano Factory Team, Lorenzo Macoritto went on to continue his winning streak in the 250 2T class while also stepping up to finish third overall both days, making it podium sweep for the blue bikes.
The Junior class has been dominated by Matteo Pavoni so far. The youngster hasn’t given any of his rivals a look in and comfortably leads the series standings. After finishing more than three minutes ahead at the opening round, he then went on to win the following two while also placing eighth and fifth in the overall classification.
