Released from his contract with Gas Gas Factory at the end of last season, Antoine BASSET (F) has just found a new team for 2019, riding under the colours of Atomic Moto.
Third last year in the Enduro 1 category behind the British pair FREEMAN and MCCANNEY, BASSET remains a strong and safe bet in EnduroGP and fans and paddock personnel alike were surprised that he didn’t feature in the high profile transfer talks.
In the end, the Frenchman will ride with team Atomic Moto, using a Husqvarna 450 4-stroke in the Enduro 2 class.
Despite being new to the paddock of the Maxxis FIM Enduro World Championship, Atomnic Moto are well known in the French and the European Championships, and now feel it’s time to make their debut on the international scene.
In addition to Antoine BASSET, the team managed by Sebastien DUPONTROUE, will also run French rider Max VIAL in the Junior 2 category. VIAL will be on a Beta 300RR.
Antoine BASSET thus switches team again, but he seems to adapt quickly to whichever bike he rides and he’s sure to be one to watch. The arrival of Atomic Moto in the paddock shows that interest in the World Enduro Championship is still intact, and this season is really shaping up to be a full and exciting one.
