Only one week before the first GP of the year which will take place on the shores of the legendary Lake Päijänne, the Catalan brand has another rider to announce – Eemil POHJOLA (Scuderia Ferrari )!
In search of a new challenge after two years as a Junior in the Husqvarna Kytönen team, the Finn will be looking to get back on track with the Gas Gas Factory!
Impressive in Finland in 2017, POHJOLA was unlucky thereafter, getting injured during the second GP in Spain and never recovering from it…
In 2018, POHJOLA comes to fill the ranks in the competitive Enduro 1 category, but does not hide his ambition…
During the 2WD Show in Lyon, Giovanni SALA also took the opportunity to announce the categories which his three top riders will race in… Christophe NAMBOTIN, as expected, will line up in Enduro 3 riding the new EC 300. The triple World Champion will be supported by Danny MCCANNEY in this big capacity class.
Finally, Antoine BASSET (F) after a lost season last year due to serious ligament damage sustained during the 2017 pre-season, will aim for a strong comeback in the Enduro 1 category.
The official Gas Gas Factory team can be proud of their presence in the EnduroGP paddock, just one year after Torrot bought the brand. It’s a breath of fresh air to see this iconic factory return to the fore!
