If Portugal, late July had, set the bar very high in terms of show at the Akrapovic Super Test, the MSC Rund um Zschopau made even better tonight in the old factory of “Klädtke Metallverarbeitung GmbH”! More than 5,000 people and a light and sound show have set the stage for this latest prologue of the year.
With a SuperEnduro style track, some riders were able to show their technical ease. Starting with Pascal RAUCHENECKER (A – Husqvarna)! The fantastic Austrian (1’51”87) dominated his Enduro 2 category and has long believed to win his first Akrapovic Super Test of the season. But by the fault of a very fast Loïc LARRIEU (F – Yamaha), 1’51”13, the official Husqvarna had to leave his armchair of winner to the Frenchman… Third of this last inaugural test of the year with a time of 1’53”22, Alex SALVINI (I – Beta) takes the € 1,500 check offered by Akrapovic Exhaust that will be presented to him at the closing ceremony on Sunday evening. The Italian took full advantage of the error of Nathan WATSON (GB – KTM) to steal him this award.
In the Junior category, Jarno BOANO’s protégé, Matteo CAVALLO (I – Beta) made the show ahead of the two French Army members Hugo BLANJOUE (F – Yamaha) and Jean-Baptiste NICOLOT (F – Yamaha) while Belgian Matthew VAN OEVELEN (Sherco) sets the best time in Youth 125cc ahead of Ruy BARBOSA (CL – Husqvarna) and Gerard GOMEZ (E – KTM). On the women’s side, local star Maria FRANKE (D – KTM) shone and left no chance to Jane DANIELS (GB – Husqvarna) and her big rival Laïa SANZ (E – KTM).
This Acerbis Grand Prix of Germany is well launched after this Akrapovic Super Test nicely organized by André RUDOLPH and his team MSC Rund um Zschopau. But for all, the serious things start tomorrow from 8.30 with stakes and suspense on all classes!
