Chile to host 2018 ISDE

Yesterday saw the official launch of the 2018 FIM International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) with Chile confirming that it will host the 93rd edition of this historic event from Monday 22nd October to Saturday 27th October next year.

Representatives from various national federations and teams were joined by members of the industry and press as José Tomás Díaz – The President of the Motorcycle Federation of Chile – presented details of next year’s event on the eve of the opening day of this year’s ISDE in France.

Chile last hosted the ISDE in the city of La Serena back in 2007, but this time the city of Viña del Mar will act as the hub for the event, this beautiful region in the central part of the country being located just over an hour away from Santiago.

Viña de Mar has been selected for the 2018 ISDE due to the surrounding areas having the perfect mix of sand and Mediterranean forest, which will provide the ideal terrain for the various special tests and overall course that will be ridden over the opening five days, with the final day motocross being planned to take place actually inside the host city.
