LARRIEU stops BELLINO’s winning streak!

A week ago, Finland made a high quality Super Test with spectators cheering every time! So, the pressure was on the shoulder of the Swedish fans for the title of best Scandinavian public… The numerous spectators gathered this evening next to the motocross track of Enköping showed what they got in term of celebration! Swedish flags, disguise and horns were the company of the 107 entries of this Grand Prix Maxxis of Sweden.

To complete the perfect vibes offered by the spectators, we had to propose an amazing show and the riders made it perfect during the two hours of racing! The face-to-face Victor GUERRERO (E – KTM) – Jonathan BARRAGAN (E – Gas Gas) was one of the best of the night; the two riders finishing so close. The Gas Gas riders became the first one to go under one minute and forty seconds (1’39’’85)… Few minutes later, Jaume BETRIU (E – KTM) beat the time of his fellow for few hundredths (1’39’’66). And then came Alex SALVINI (I – Beta) and Loïc LARRIEU (F –Yamaha). With none of them willing to be second, they have elevated their level and that’s how Yamaha Outsider rider explodes the time of BETRIU: 1’37’’46! Alex SALVINI scored the third best (1’39’’29). Despite the attacks of KTM rider Taylor ROBERT (USA – 1’39’’12) and of the specialist of the Super Test, Frenchman Mathias BELLINO (Husqvarna – 1’39’’66), LARRIEU has never been in danger and is the only one to be under 1’39!

In Junior Class, Giacomo REDONDI (I – Honda) wins the Super Test, 1 seconds 50 over Kirian MIRABET (E – Sherco) and his teammate Davide SORECA (I – Honda) while in FIM Youth Cup 125cc, Jack EDMONDSON (GB – KTM) continues what he started in Finland, winning over local rider Erik APPELQVIST (S – Yamaha) and actual leader Jean-Baptiste NICOLOT (F – Yamaha). Finally, in Women Cup, Jane DANIELS (GB – Husqvarna) set the best time over Sanna KARKKAINEN (SF – KTM) and Maria FRANKE (D – KTM).

After a great night like this where we avoided the rain, it seems that the riders will have to face it tomorrow for the first day of racing of the GP Maxxis of Sweden. But no doubt, the numerous public will be also there during all the weekend, cheering for the EnduroGP stars!
