During this end of afternoon in Serres with a pretty tough heat, the 76 riders of this Grand Prix Maxxis of Greece weren’t waiting for a tough rain during this KTM Super Test. Rain that lasted fifteen minutes and left then the place to the heat again… But it didn’t stop the stars of the EWC to offer to the Greek spectators some nice show!
And the one that offered the nicest show and was the most efficient during this KTM Super Test has been Loïc LARRIEU (F – Sherco)! Pretty close in Portugal, this time, the Sherco Moto Pulsion rider shone on the Greek track and offered an impressive ride to the public while clinching his first career Super Test win with a time of 2’15’’08! He steals the show, for only 45 hundredths, to current E2 leader Antoine MEO (F – KTM) who offered us an amazing duel with Pierre-Alexandre RENET (F – Husqvarna), 3rd…
Podium 100% French and 100% Enduro 2 for this fourth KTM Super Test of the season!
In the other categories, Marc BOURGEOIS (F – Yamaha) grabbed the 9 seconds bonus in E1 over Lorenzo SANTOLINO (F – Sherco). Jonathan BARRAGAN (E – Gas Gas) did the same in E3 just ahead Matti SEISTOLA (SF – Sherco) and Mathias BELLINO (F – Husqvarna) while Matthew PHILLIPS (AUS – KTM) couldn’t finish the test due to mechanical problems and will have a 40 seconds penalty tomorrow. In Junior, Jamie MCCANNEY (GB – Husqvarna) has dominated his rivals and Mikael PERSSON (S – Yamaha) was unstoppable in the FIM Youth Cup 125cc.
The riders of the World Enduro Championship have already given appointment to the Greek public tomorrow morning at 9:00 for the first day of the Grand Prix Maxxis of Greece that has already gone on a frantic pace!
