he 2015 Enduro World Championship started with the South American round in Talca, Chile. The Beta Factory riders have done a good race and have proven to be fast and determined.
Johnny Aubert after the crash in the Prologue on Friday, pushed hard right from the start on the opening day on Saturday. After the first lap, the French rider already occupied the second position in the E2 class, but too many mistakes in the enduro test and in the second extreme made him lost the second place. Also in day 2 Johnny has tried in every way to get the podium, attacking several times his rivals and dealing with a particularly difficult enduro test. Johnny finishes with two fourth places, but we all strongly believe that he will get on the podium soon.
Luis Correia entered on both day 1 and day 2 in the Top Ten of the E3 class, which this year is extremely difficult and full of fast riders.
The best of our rider was Giacomo Redondi who returns to Italy with two excellent second places in the Enduro Junior class. Giacomo, on Sunday, struggled to conquer the first place, this time it did not go in the right way, but we are sure that he will get to the next race very determined.
Oriol Mena finishes in the Top Ten of the E2 class on both days, proving to have a good speed.
JOHNNY AUBERT
“The weekend started right away with a bad fall during the prologue and a small injury to my left hand. Saturday instead I started off well with the fastest time in the first cross test and extreme test, then unfortunately I made some mistakes and I lost the second place. Even today I tried to get on the podium but I fell in the enduro test and I compromised the race. After the colorless races in the Italian Championship I return home happy because here I found a good speed, but also with the regret of not being on the podium. We worked hard with the team and we are on the good way.”
LUIS CORREIA
“On the opening day I was not able to establish a good feeling with the bike and with the special tests, while on Sunday things went slightly better, but the result does not satisfy me. Now we go to Spain and Portugal and we hope to do better. ”
GIACOMO REDONDI
“I started well in the Prologue winning the class and setting a great time overall, yesterday I made too many mistakes even if they have compromised the outcome of the race. My rival McCanney has always been faster than me. Today Battig, McCanney and I were very close during the race. At first I was in the lead, then went McCanney and at end of the race Battig won it . Another good second place, we think positive and to the Iberian away.”
