The E3 class ahead !

It’s in front of around 4 000 spectators that the 91 riders engaged have made the show from 17.30 next to the Gimnasio Regional of Talca for this very first KTM Super Test of the season… And the Chilean public had the opportunity to enjoy a real show!

From the first riders, the spectators felt that this pretty fast Super Test could give them nice emotions. And with the Junior, the level was already high with Giacomo REDONDI (I – Beta) winning the class over the Portuguese Diogo VENTURA (Gas Gas). Then, Antoine MEO (F – KTM) has decided to put the pressure on making an impressive time of 1’15’’81 and beating for only 90 hundredths one of his rival for the E2 title, the Italian Alex SALVINI (Honda – 1’16’’73).
It seemed that the KTM official rider was on his way for a nice win but, while the young Chilean Javier GARATE (KTM) gave some emotions to his public, Mathias BELLINO (F – Husqvarna) took the lead with an enormous 1’15’’68… But the French has been quickly beaten by a Matthew PHILLIPS (AUS – KTM), on a mission, who signed an exciting time of 1’15’’19.

Christophe NAMBOTIN, despite some troubles in the Start (He could start his bike in the minutes and will receive a 10 seconds penalty), won easily his category (1’16’’76).

To note that in FIM Youth Cup 125cc, the Spanish Josep GARCIA (Husqvarna) has dominated the debates with 1’21’’27.

Now, see you tomorrow at 9.00 for the great starts of the World Elite riders in the Chilean special tests. The public, to whom the EWC has already offered a nice spectacle tonight, should be numerous in the three special tests of this Grand Prix Acerbis of Chile.
