Since the beginning of the week, the Moto Club Brioude gives everything to make of the final of the 2014 Maxxis FIM Enduro World Championship a great success. And the least we can say is that the riders and the spectators have every played the game tonight at the KTM Super Test.
Nearly 7,000 spectators were given appointments and thus kindled a beautiful but fresh evening. Each time, the audience gave voice to encourage the 110 riders and stars of the sport responded generously by linking their spectacular riding…
On the race side, the Honda rider Alex SALVINI (I – Honda) who made the perfect shot combining generosity steering and efficiency. The Italian, 2013 E2 World Champion, has achieved an incredible time of 1’24”66. A few minutes earlier, Christophe NAMBOTIN (FRA – KTM) had taken control of the stage with a convincing 1’26”01. Beta rider Johnny AUBERT (F) snatched the 3rd rank (1’26”17) nose and beard of his compatriot and E2 World Champion Pierre-Alexandre RENET (F – HVA).
Note that in the showdown of E3, Ivan CERVANTES (ESP – KTM) has taken over his teammate Matthew PHILLIPS (AUS – KTM) and therefore will start tomorrow morning with a lead of nine seconds on the Australian. Loïc LARRIEU (FRA – HVA) for his part sets the fastest time in Junior and promising Josep GARCIA (E – HVA) did the same in FIM Youth Cup 125cc.
Laïa SANZ (E – Honda), couldn’t grabbed the Super Test due to a fault in the big rock section which gave the win to a Samantha TICHET (FRA – KTM) galvanized in front of his audience!
The riders of the World Enduro therefore distilled a taste of a GP AMV of France highly anticipated and tomorrow morning 9:00 will take on a frantic pace!
